Claire heard the baby's voice at night, followed it, saw Locke in the jungle with his lamp on (it looked like Rousseau's map, but it looked like he was only playing poker, and his eyes seemed all black as he looked up), and said she was responsible for the abandoned "him," and everyone paid the price. As she left, she saw a crib, a spinning toy of an airplane, but found blood in the bedclothes. She woke up in shock, Charlie calmed her down, said she was sleepwalking, and found her hands were covered with blood. The next day Jack said it was a nightmare of squeezing his nails into his skin with both fists. Charlie accompanied her and said she could be her friend. During the night she was attacked, but she could not see the man who wanted to hurt her child. The man took a needle. Jack and the rest can't find anyone around. Hurley suggested that a census be taken and regulations be established so that people don't hurt each other. Charlie told Claire he wouldn't leave her. Jack questioned whether she might have been born prematurely because of anxiety. Charlie would be angry. Jack talks to Claire and tries to get her to take a sedative to keep her mother and baby safe. She is angry with Jack's distrust and wants to leave the hole, Charlie follows. She gave birth in the jungle, and she told him to go to Jack. Charlie tells Ethan on the road to come back to her. Claire told him about Malkin. He said Malkin may have known about the crash. Claire suddenly remembered that he should know everything. American couples don't exist. Later, when she had no stomach ache, Charlie persuaded her to go back to the hole, and their affection grew. Sayid goes back to the cave and tells Jack and his men about Rousseau. They're not alone. Hurley told Jack et al that Ethan wasn't on the list. Ethan shows up on Charlie and Claire's way back, and Claire shows extreme horror.
Claire: Thomas and she were both scared when they found out they were pregnant. She was afraid her mother wouldn't want her, but he said it was close. But then he told her he was willing to try. Claire was happy. But Malkin, the psychic, was given a refund in alarm and told to leave immediately. Thomas starts to fear such a life and leaves her. She went to Malkin again, and he said that last time he saw something vague before he stopped divining, this time he told Claire that she had to raise the child by herself, because danger surrounds the child and she has to influence the child by her virtue. Claire said she was going to adopt, and Malkin said it wouldn't lead to a happy ending, but couldn't convince her.
