Locke dreamed that Horace would cut down trees. Horace told him to go to himself before he would find Jacob. After he woke up, he went to take the two people to the place where Ben poked people, found his body, got a map from the inside, and found Jacob's house. Ben said Jacob had chosen him to replace him because of his health problems. Christian says he speaks for Jacob, Locke sees Claire, says he's ok with him. Christian told him the island should be removed.
In the evening Keamy waits to get back on the boat and ask Sayid to tell him how many people are on the island and where. Sayid doesn't say, and Gault comes out and says it was Michael who betrayed him. Keamy finds Michael and shoots, but the bullet doesn't come out. Gault told Keamy not to kill Michael because it was time to fix the engine. Keamy found a second agreement to burn the whole island, and knew that Ben would know where he had to go. Gault tried to stop it, but it didn't work. He finds Sayid and Desmond and lets them hide. Sayid asks to take the lifeboat back to the island. Frank puts out Michael, who warns him that Keamy can't come to the island, otherwise the people will die. When they came out, they saw Keamy load the bomb. Desmond doesn't want to return to the island, Sayid leaves alone. In the evening, Frank said he was not going to fly a plane. Keamy cut Ray's throat and threatened him. Then Gault tried to stop it and was killed. Frank had to leave, but he packed his satellite phone and dropped it as he passed Jack's camp.
Locke: Emily dated a man twice her age when she was young despite her mother's objections. He crashed and was admitted to the hospital saying he was six months pregnant. After the premature baby was born, she screamed and named him John. When she finally gets to touch him, Emily says she can't and runs away. Her mother saw Richard standing outside the nursery. A few years later Richard went to Locke's house and took out various objects and asked him what it was that belonged to him. When he finally picked at the knife, Richard left, disappointed and surly. In high school, Locke was tricked by his teacher, who told him that Poland's Mittelos laboratory, which does chemistry and new technology research, invited young talents to summer camps, represented by Richard. Locke didn't want to go, thinking that his scientific understanding made him fooled by his classmates. The teacher said it was his destiny, and Locke fumed about not telling himself what he couldn't do. Matthew, his orderly, sent Locke on a hike and said he could. When he says goodbye, if he can do it, he owes himself a favor.
