John put Richard down in the jungle. Richard asked him why he looked like Locke and replied that Locke was a candidate, so he could get close to Jacob. Richard didn't understand that candidate, John wanted to recruit him, and said that he would not hide as much as Jacob did. At this time, there appeared a child that Richard could not see. John left Richard to chase him, but did not see him. When John went to the neighborhood, Sawyer, who was drinking, gave him wine but did not drink it. Sawyer knew he was not the real Locke. John asked him to follow him, because he knew why they had come to the island. The balance of the cave was filled with black and white stones. John threw away the white stones. In this Jacob's cave, the walls are covered with Numbers and surnames, and many are crossed out. Of these, 4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and 42 correspond to Locke, Hurley, Sawyer, Sayid, Jack, Kwon (Sun and Jin), respectively. John said Sawyer was also a candidate, and that each candidate met Jacob and was manipulated by him when he was vulnerable. Ilana persuaded them to go with them, because only there was safety, and Jin would be in the temple if he were alive. The four men buried Locke in the cemetery, and Ben, speaking, confessed to killing each other.
Locke: I went home and I lost my gear. Helen came out and took him in. She is busy preparing for the October wedding. Back at work, his boss, Randy, fired him because he didn't have a meeting in Australia and at one point hid it.Out of the parking lot, because did not park in the disabled area, up.
