Juliet found Jack's appendicitis and asked Jin and Sun to go to the medical treatment station to get equipment. Daniel said that they were helped, but people didn't believe them. Daniel said that Charlotte's attitude made people distrust them. At the rescue station, Jin found out that Charlotte understood Korean, so that she would hurt Daniel to take Sun away when the helicopter came. Rose questions Jack's illness because the island will only heal. Before the operation, Jack asked Kate to hold the mirror for him to look at, and said he would instruct Juliet to have the operation instead of general anesthesia. Before the operation had begun, Juliet asked Bernard to give him a general anaesthetic. Jack asks Kate not with his eyes, but Kate can only cry. After the surgery, Juliet lets her in and says Jack kissed her, but only proves he doesn't love anyone. After Kate leaves, Juliet tells Jack that she knows he's awake.
Miles, who could hear sounds as he passed where Karl was killed, found their bodies. On the way, Sawyer told him to stay away from Claire. They met Frank, and Frank told them to run away. Keamy and others followed him looking for the helicopter. Aaron's voice made Keamy suspicious, but Frank covered up. They were supposed to be five, one of them seriously injured. Claire found out Aaron was being held by Christian at midnight. The next day, Sawyer was angry that Miles had sent Claire into the jungle. Miles said her father was there, too. Aaron's cry was heard, Sawyer hugged back, and Claire wasn't there.
