Charlie wants Locke to return his drug. Locke says he'll give it to him three times. Jake leads the group to the cave, Sayid sends Kate and Boone to receive messages, and Kate asks Sawyer for the battery. Charlie felt useless after being snubbed by Jack and Hurley in the cave. Jack is trapped in the cave. Charlie goes to the beach to ask for help. Sayid told Kate they shouldn't have survived. Sawyer said he would help with the message to Kate, but was not trusted on the mountain, and Sayid handed over the mission to Kate and Sawyer. Michael is in the hole directing people to dig. Walt says Locke should help. Charlie finds Locke and asks for the drug a second time. Locke USES moths and cocoons to indicate Charlie's rebirth. Jack needs someone to go into the cave to save him. Charlie volunteered. Kate was desperate to save Jack after Sawyer said he was trapped. In the cave, Charlie wants to repent after he saves Jack. He sees a moth and leads a way out. Kate hugged Jack excitedly. When all three signals are complete, Sayid activates the radio receiver, but is attacked when there is a signal. That night Charlie tried to get Locke to take the drug and throw it in the fire. The moth was still there.
Charlie: he prayed to the priest and said he wanted to leave the decadent band. Liam shows him his new record deal, and Charlie makes him promise to focus on music before he moves on. On stage, Liam stole the show and became a big star. Charlie was snubbed. When he saw Liam continue to be sexually promiscuous, he quarreled with him and claimed that Liam himself was the core. In despair, Charlie took drugs again. Charlie later went to Australia to look for Liam to make a comeback, but he had already started to recover and had a daughter. He refused to make a comeback. Charlie was questioned about his drug use and left in anger.
