Lucifer (Tom Ellis) was originally a supporting actor in the DC comic Sandman by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth and Mike Dringenberg, whose appearance was based on the famous English musician David Bowie, who later gradually developed his own Popularity. In the play, Lucifer is a unhappy, world-weary hellish king who decides to give up the throne and abandon his kingdom for the glamorous Los Angeles for inspiration. He even helped Los Angeles Police Department punish criminals, never tired.
