Michael Schofield took a gun and robbed a bank the day after finishing the last tattoo. After his arrest, he pleaded guilty in a very cooperative manner and the judge therefore agreed to his request to sentence Michael to five years in Fox River prison in the suburbs of Chicago. Michael was placed in cell 40, in Building A, and roommate Fernando Sucre volunteered to introduce him to the jail characters, but Michael just wanted to meet one man: his elder brother, Lincoln Barros, who was sentenced to death. But getting Lincoln closer to work at the prison factory, which is dominated by the former gangster boss and today's prisoner John Abds.
