The story describes the "Manson family" cult murder that struck the United States in the 1960s. Introverted Devil Charles Manson induced his followers to kill seven in 1969. There was no death penalty in California, so Manson and three female followers involved in the case were sentenced to life imprisonment for as long as nine and a half months. Manson, now nearly 80 years old, is still in jail. He made 12 requests for parole, but both were rejected by the authorities. The play's plot is set in the same sixties as real historical events, with David Duchovny acting as a Los Angeles sheriff who investigates the Manson case. Charles Manson was originally a humble little criminal who later turned into a horrifying leader of the cult of the country. Countless women not only hugged him, but also helped him to commit numerous crimes. The sheriff and his young partner will step into Manson's role as undercover agents, eventually figuring out the truth about his and his accomplice killing both actress Sharon Tate and LaBianca. Like all similar shows, this sheriff's personal and family life is full of complexity.
