Carrie needed someone to help with the crisis in Kabul in Afghanistan (but she would not admit it), so Saul, her former mentor, appeared "in time." Carrie fears that the appearance of Saul will change what others think of her (others will think she has no ability to do her job alone). In the meantime, Dar Adal accused Quinn of being emotionally blind-Quinn's feelings about Carrie had affected his work. When Dar mentions the incident that killed Sandy, Quinn loses control and almost choke Dar. But he eventually let Dar leave. At the end of the episode, Carrie made some "impromptu" confessions, but she quickly regretted it.
