Chen Qiang (simplified Chinese: 陈强; traditional Chinese: 陳強; pinyin: Chén Qiáng; 1918 – 26 June 2012) was a Chinese actor and comedian best known for his performances in The Red Detachment of Women, The White Haired Girl and Devils on the Doorstep. Chen began his career as an actor in 1947 and has played more than 40 different characters since then. His son, Chen Peisi, is also a well-known actor and comedian.

Chen Peisi (simplified Chinese: 陈佩斯; traditional Chinese: 陳佩斯; pinyin: Chén Peìsī; born 1 February 1954) is a Chinese comedian, sketch actor, and voice actor. Chen's partner is Zhu Shimao.

Liu Peiqi is a Chinese actor. He started his training in 1979 when he joined Military Art School. He joined Military Drama Group in Xinjiang Province in 1983. In 1985 he starred in his first movie, Father and Son, directed by Wang Bingling. After transferring to Beijing Military Drama Group, then the China National Drama Group, Liu starred in Days Without Leifeng, directed by Lei Xianhe. For his performance, he was awarded the Golden Rooster for Best Actor (China's version of the Academy Award). He was also awarded Best Performance in a Male Leading Role in the Outstanding Film Awards organized by the Chinese Ministry of Radio, Film and Television. Liu's recent credits include starring roles in Zhang Yimou's The Story of Qiu Ju, Zhou Xiaowen's Ermo and Chen Kaige's Together, for which he was awarded the San Sebastián International Film Festival Award for Best Actor, becoming the first Chinese actor ever to receive that award.

Li Yu (formerly known as bamboo Xin), December 2, 1963 was born in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, mainland China actress. He was admitted to Hunan Song and Dance Troupe in 1975 and became a dancer. After six years, he ended his dance career after he lost his hand due to his performance. After a friend recommended to the film and television as an actor, thus opening a career.
