Hou Baolin (traditional Chinese: 侯寶林; simplified Chinese: 侯宝林; Pinyin: Hóu Bǎolín; November 29, 1917 – February 4, 1993) was a Chinese xiangsheng performer. He was one of his generation's most popular and influential xiangsheng performers and was mentor to many later xiangsheng performers. His apprentices include Ma Ji, Ding Guangquan and Shi Shengjie. He was the father of Hou Yaohua and Hou Yaowen.
Baorui Liu (1915 - October 6, 1968), Peking Man, China Crosstalk sixth-generation actor, under the teacher Zhang Shouchen. Baorui Liu's comic works draw on the merits of siblings such as one-man shows, commentary, films and plays, innovating boldly and creating a unique artistic style of sound, tolerance, love and dedication. Especially in the comic dialogue, known as "single-mouth king." Baorui Liu made important contributions to the creation of the new comic dialogue, the excavation of the traditional comic dialogue, and the development and improvement of the single comic dialogue performance art.
