Irwin Allen Ginsberg (English: Irwin Allen Ginsberg, June 3, 1926 - April 5, 1997), American poet, established his title poetry in The Howling and Other Poems (1956) His leadership of the poet in the beaten generation is a "geek" in the contemporary American poetry community and throughout the literary movement. Ginsberg later participated in the 1960s "hippies" movement, which at one time proclaimed the freedom to use drugs. He was a major anti-war activist during the Vietnam War.
